The New Baltimore Arena

The proposed New Baltimore Arena, with it’s strategically situated Westside location, would replace the obsolete 1st Mariner Arena built in 1962, providing the City of Baltimore with a first-class venue for all the events not staged in Baltimore’s state-of-the-art sporting or convention facilities. The proposed project would produce a 750 space parking structure and a new 420,000 GSF arena across the street from the famous Lexington Market. The arena would accommodate 16,000 seats, including 20 suites, 1,000 club seats, 30,000 square feet of retail space, and 250 parking spaces.

A wide array of events could be hosted in the new arena, including semi-pro hockey, indoor soccer, arena football, motor sports, concerts, gymnastics, tennis, conventions, family events, graduations, plenary meetings and various other events.
